Local fisherman are worried that gators are getting too close for comfort. John Koterba loves hitting South Florida's fresh water canals, to enjoy one of America's oldest past times. But his love for the sport comes with a fear for something else. John says, "The gators are chasing your top water lewers every time you throw them out." Florida's premier predator is harassing fisherman up and down the canals, at the Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge. More so than they ever have. In some cases, going after fish and lures. Koterba shot home video less than a week ago. It shows how aggressive the gators are getting. In recent months, more and more of them have been piling up in the canals, leaving their flats due to the sever drought and the subsequent lack of food. Florida Fish and Wildlife Officials say recent rainfall, is allowing gators to return to the flats and stay out of the canals.
